I always love recommended podcasts because I can be lazy in finding ones on my own by searching in the podcast app. Mostly because there’s too many to choose from, so I just ask others to choose for me. I love podcasts and audiobooks for workdays because I can just plug in, learn a lot of things and get my work done seemingly quicker. I don’t really LOVE my other job… I love some parts of it, but for the most part I do it because it’s good money, it’s easy, and I can just listen to podcasts/audiobooks all day.
Below is a list of the ones I currently listen to, as well as ones I found helpful in the past (but no longer resonate with me as my life has gone on). Enjoy!
This probably isn’t for everyone. You have to be a pretty open minded person to enjoy it or take anything away from it as she even calls a lot of it ‘woo woo’ but it’s super interesting nonetheless. I enjoy seeing the world from other people’s perspectives, and I’m open to essentially anything and everything, so I find this podcast super fun.
So much variety. So much learning. Really interesting. I mostly go with the sciency ones ’cause I’m a bit of a science nerd.
More science. Super interesting.
This is more of a faith/religion based podcast. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned that I’m a Christian… but I’m a Christian who essentially questions everything. I don’t accept what I’m told simply because I’m told. I’m curious. Always asking, always searching. I really appreciate the deconstructionists as they question the same things I always have, they break apart our popular beliefs and deconstruct the misinterpretations of the church. It resonates with me completely and I think it will help change how you view popular beliefs surrounding God, hell, the bible, and the church.
This podcast is really helpful for anyone wanting to delve deeper in to intuitive eating, health at every size, fat acceptance, etc. Laura covers it all. It’s all backed by science and I found it really helpful back in the day when I was still recovering from disordered eating/body image issues.
This was another really helpful podcast when I was recovering. Christy also uses science to support intuitive eating/HAES.
What are your current favorite podcasts? I’m always looking for new ones to binge listen to while I’m working!
