I love reading these posts on other people’s blogs. I’m naturally nosy, so that’s probably why but I wanted to start doing these kinds of posts on here as well. Read ’em if ya like ’em, don’t if you don’t 🙂
We’ll also see how long I’ll actually keep it up since I’m terrible at committing to things.
ANYWAY Friday morning I headed to Avon Lake, Ohio for a girls weekend. I have a cousin that my family is super close with and a good friend there so we take turns visiting each other. The good friend was the nanny for my cousin’s kids when my cousin was still in the LPGA and touring a lot and we ended up getting close!
The trip started with hummingbird baked oatmeal with cream cheese frosting that, yes, tasted like cake and, yes, the recipe will be on here for Easter. Plus an unpictured apple. Immediately after I was craving a bagel with cream cheese and sun chips on top. Sounds weird, but also really good.
I opted for a hazelnut latte instead.
We ended up getting a mega late lunch at 3:00pm and I started eating before I thought to snap a picture. Panera’s southwest chili lime ranch salad is AMAZING. I had eaten half of that already. Plus turkey avocado blt because I always get that, unpictured chips and I ate half the baguette, too.
Got to my cousin’s and found this love muffin, Hunny. Surprised us with her new puppy which I just died over. The cutest. We hungout, drank wine and eventually wandered to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. We ate around 8pm, I took zero pictures. Hungout and watched the olympics then went to bed. Morning started with….
And then headed to First Watch for Breakfast. I went with the BLT eggs benny. I was all about the bacon and avocado this weekend.
Wandered around and shopped in the miserable, rainy weather. Popped in Trader Joe’s to bring stuff back home and get some snacks. This breakfast wasn’t quite enough for me so I mowed through a ton of peanut butter filled pretzels.
Around 4pm we opened a bottle of wine and decided we’d just hangout at the house, snack and get Chipotle for dinner later.
This barbacoa burrito bowl was EVERYTHING. So good.
Woke up the next morning to an empty house (everyone went to church and let me sleep ’cause anytime I’m asleep, nobody wakes me, ha).
Got through 1/3rd of this before the puppies were creating too much chaos for me to remember to eat. Eventually they fell asleep and the cat came to hangout. I didn’t move for 45 minutes so I wouldn’t wake the puppies and let the chaos start again.
This cat kills me. I generally don’t like cats, but I love this cutie.
Eventually everyone got up, I took the dogs out and got locked out of the house with wet hair and no coat… so I found a neighbor who let me in his house and was able to get ahold of everyone after 45 minutes so they could give me the code to the house. Got home and slammed Trader Joe’s chocolate coconut almonds.
Plus more that went unpictured and an apple.
Shortly after everyone got home and we headed to Panera to grab lunch for the drive home.
I got the southwest chili lime ranch salad again with hot buttered baguette and this pecan roll. So good.
I got home around 6:30pm exhausted, hung out with Mark for a couple of hours and headed to bed early. Passed out by 9:15.
And that was my weekend! Not exciting, but really nice to get away and even nicer to be home 🙂
